Toyota is a Japanese automotive manufacturing company. They are one of the largest automotive manufacturing companies in the world. Toyota produces about 10 million cars every year!

Toyota was incorporated on August 28, 1937. It was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda. Toyota owns many brands. Some of them are Daihatsu, Hino, Lexus, Ranz, and more!

Toyota is known for being one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world. They make cars, trucks, vans, and more. Toyotas are reliable, long-lasting, cars.

These cars are known for being the most reliable cars out there! Why are Toyotas so reliable? It’s because of their TQM! (TQM stands for total quality management!?

Unlike like  Ford, Toyotas aren’t that old. The first Toyota made was the AA model in 1936. That’s 86 years! Toyota is known for its reliability, back then, and now!

Toyota’s first car was the AA model. It was made in 1937 in Japan. It was one of the first passenger seating vehicles. Of course, it was only a two-seater.

Toyota makes its first Hybrid vehicle in 1997. This Hybrid compared to the hybrids we have now is very different, but they are also the same. The Toyota Hybrids are more gas efficient and can go a little bit faster than the hybrids made in 1997.
In 2022, Toyota makes a totally electric car! It is called the 2022 Toyota Mirai. It has a horsepower of 182. It takes the 2022 Toyota Mirai 9.2 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour.
The fastest Toyota to ever be made is the 2020 Toyota Supra. It can reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour! It reaches 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds!

How long do they last

How long are Toyotas made to last? Well, on average, your Toyota should be retired when it has at about 150,000 miles to 200,000 miles. At this point, your Toyota may have reached a repair that would cost more than the cars actual value.

Each Toyota should last you about 10 – 15 years. But, this will only happen if the proper maintenance is taking place. Oil changes every 5,000 – 7,500 miles, keeping up on your A service and B service. All of these are way to keep your Toyota lasting longer.

The Toyota with the most miles is the 2001 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Double Cab 4×4. It reached 513,485 miles! This Toyota is now an award winning car!

Genette Tylerson from Quora says:

I can personally attest to the fact that my Camry Solara, V6, 5-speed car lasted 17 years- from 3 miles to 292,504 miles on the odometer. Understand, the car didn’t die. It was running fine with the original transmission, engine, air conditioning, radiator and suspension system.

The interior was still good, no excessive wear and tear, no holes, no dashboard, cracks. I mean nothing was wrong with it. Unfortunately at 292,504 miles, some lady ran a red light and totaled it. I cried, because it was the best car I ever owned.”

Toyota repair
Due to the fact that Toyota is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market over the last 30 years, I would say preventative maintenance is the main repair that your Toyota will need. This includes:

Oil changes — Oil changes need to take place every 5,000 miles to 7,500 miles. There are 4 different types of oil changes that you can get. One is a full-synthetic oil change. This is the more high end oil change options. Then there synthetic blend oil changes. Then, High millage oil and then conventual motor oil

A service —Toyota A service includes: getting your oil changed, having a tire rotation, checking your tire pressure, and or having your tires replaced. All of these things should be done regularly!

B service — Toyota B service is regular maintenance that comes every 7,500 miles.

Alignment — Toyotas need there alignment to be done every two to three years. Alignment makes your cars tires aligned properly so that they hit the road at the correct angle. This makes you different straight and safe.

Transmission service — You need transmission service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Transmission service is basically a transmission fluid exchange. We first, drain your old transmission fluid, then we fill you car back up with new, clean Transmission fluid.

Timing Belt — Your Toyota needs a new timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Your timing belt controls parts of your engine. Your engine is key in your car operation. So, it is really important to have our timing belt changed when it is supposed to be.

Engine light — When your check engine light comes on, you must have it diagnosed as soon as possible. Your engine is key to your cars operation.

Tune up — Tune up is a replacement of wire, plugs, and any other thing that make up your Toyota‘s ignition system.
