tHE HISTORY OF HONDA

The automotive manufacturing company was established on September 24, 1948. Honda has two founding fathers Sichorio Honda and Takeo Fujisawa. Originally, Honda didn’t make cars. They made motorcycles. The first motorcycle that was made by Honda was the “Dream D”. This motorcycle was released in 1949, within the second year of Honda being established. The Dream D had a 2-stroke and a 98cc motor.

RACING

Honda became a part of the racing community in 1968. Because their motorcycles were fast, they made good racing motorcycles. Honda motorcycles can reach speeds up to 186 miles per hour. The Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird reached 190 miles per hour! This is the fastest that a Honda motorcycle has ever gotten to!

People like Honda motorcycles for their dependability and reliability. Like Honda cars, their motorcycles are very reliable. It has to do with how Honda engines are built! Honda engines tend to last longer, generate more speed, and have an overall better driving experience!

POWER EQUIPMENT

Honda began making engines for power tools in 1953. Honda makes power tools in Swepsonville, North Carolina. Honda makes over 100 million power tools. Some of Honda’s power tools include the Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower, Generator (EU18i), lawn mowers, water pumps, and more. Honda still makes great power tools today!

CARS

After making Motorcycles for a while, Honda began to release cars. The first car that Honda made was the T360 in 1963. After that, Honda begins to make sports cars. The first sports car they made was the S500.

In 1986 Honda launched the Acura brand with hopes of gaining in the luxury vehicle market. The Honda supercar, NSX was released in 1991. In 1999, the first Honda Hybrid was made.

The next major advancement made to Hondas was the “Fuel Cell Technology” vehicle in 2008. This can generate hydrogen by using renewable sources. The car is powered by hydrogen and oxygen. Together, they create a zero-emissions car!

In September 2017 Honda’s first all-electric car was made. It was called the Honda e. Honda has plans to release more electric and zero-emissions vehicles in 2030.

Oil change

If you own a car,  you know that you have to keep up with the maintenance of it. You have to get your oil changed. This is one of the things that we, at Tedious Repairs, offer. Also, it is important that you get your Toyota’s, or any vehicle’s, oil change every 3,000 miles. If not, it can, and it will affect your car very much. We offer both synthetic and standard oil changes here. Synthetic oil is a higher quality oil that runs smoothly for cars, synthetic oil lasts up to 5,000 miles while syn-blend lasts 3,000 miles.

When we give you an oil change, we follow these steps:

First, we drain your car’s remaining oil (if any). Next, we the old oil filter out and replace it with a new one. Then, we pour your new oil, synthetic or standard, back into its rightful place.

Brake change

You must get your brake pads changed, for the protection of the driver and passengers. If you hear a high pitch squealing noise when you press the brake on your car, it is time for a good old brake pad replacement visit. When you visit Tedious Repairs, we have your brake pads back to new for you in a quick and efficient manner.

When we provide you with brake replacement service, we follow these trusted steps:

First, we remove your brake pads. Next, we inspect everything down to make sure you are safe and receiving the best driving experience you can get. Once we are done with that step, we remove the old brake pads. Then, we must replace those brake pads with brand new ones. After that, we are all set and ready to get you back on the road!

WHAT IS A TYPICAL HONDA REPAIR?

Due to the fact that Honda is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market over the last 30 years, I would say preventative maintenance is the main repair that your Honda will need. This includes:

Oil changes — Oil changes need to take place every 5,000 miles to 7,500 miles. There are 4 different types of oil changes that you can get. One is a full-synthetic oil change. These are the more high-end oil change options. Then there synthetic blend oil changes. Then, High millage oil and then conventual motor oil

A service — Honda A service includes: getting your oil changed, having a tire rotation, checking your tire pressure, and or having your tires replaced. All of these things should be done regularly!

B service— Honda B service is regular maintenance that comes every 7,500 miles.

Alignment — Hondas need their alignment to be done every two to three years. Alignment makes your car’s tires aligned properly so that they hit the road at the correct angle. This makes you different straight and safe.

Transmission service — You need transmission service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. A transmission service is basically a transmission fluid exchange. We first, drain your old transmission fluid, then we fill your car back up with new, clean transmission fluid.

Timing Belt— Your Honda needs a new timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Your timing belt controls parts of your engine. Your engine is key in your car operation. So, it is really important to have our timing belt changed when it is supposed to be.

Engine light — When your check engine light comes on, you must have it diagnosed as soon as possible. Your engine is key to your car’s operation.

Tune-up — Tune-up is a replacement of wire, plugs, and any other thing that makes up your Honda’s ignition system.
