Fiat history

Fiat began when its founder, Giovanni Agnelli, opened his first Fiat factory in the early 1900. The first Fiat factory only has about 150 people operating it. By 1903, Fiat has produced 135 vehicles. In that same year, Fiat made a truck.

Five short years later, Fiat made its way to America. In the US, they were a huge hit! So much so that in 1910, Fiat became Italy’s largest automotive manufacturer. The initial cost of a Fiat in the US was 4,000 dollars. But, because of the demand for cars, fiat’s price rose up to 6,400 dollars a car!

What are common Fait repair services? Well, the most common fiat repair services are your scheduled maintenance listed below:

Oil changes — Oil changes need to take place every 5,000 miles to 7,500 miles. There are 4 different types of oil changes that you can get. One is a full-synthetic oil change. These are the more high-end oil change options. Then there synthetic blend oil changes. Then, High mileage oil and then conventual motor oil

A service — Fiat A service includes: getting your oil changed, having a tire rotation, checking your tire pressure, and or having your tires replaced. All of these things should be done regularly!

B service— Fiat B service is regular maintenance that comes every 7,500 miles.

Alignment — Fiats need their alignment to be done every two to three years. Alignment makes your car’s tires aligned properly so that they hit the road at the correct angle. This makes you different straight and safe.

Transmission service — You need transmission service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. A transmission service is basically a transmission fluid exchange. We first, drain your old transmission fluid, then we fill your car back up with new, clean transmission fluid.

Timing Belt— Your Fiat needs a new timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Your timing belt controls parts of your engine. Your engine is key in your car operation. So, it is really important to have our timing belt changed when it is supposed to be.

Engine light — When your check engine light comes on, you must have it diagnosed as soon as possible. Your engine is key to your car’s operation.

Tune-up — Tune-up is a replacement of wire, plugs, and any other thing that makes up your Fiat’s ignition system.

How long are Fiats made to last? Well, on average, your Fiat should be retired when it has about 200,000 miles to 300,000 miles. At this point, your Fiat may have reached a repair that would cost more than the car’s actual value.

Each Fiat should last you about 15 -20 years. But, this will only happen if the proper maintenance is taking place. Oil changes every 5,000 – 7,500 miles, keeping up on your A service and B service. All of these are ways to keep your Fiat lasting longer.

Are fiats reliable?
Fiats rank a 3.5 out of 5.0 which is pretty much average. Fiats are sub-compact, luxury,  vehicles. One perk about owning a Fiat is its fuel efficiency. Fiats get 34 miles per gallon of gasoline. The reason that Fiats are so gas-efficient is because of their size.
Fiats are known for being the largest, most fuel-efficient, automotive manufacturing company in Italy.
