What is a dodge?

Dodge repair? Dodge is an American automotive manufacturing company. Dodge was founded in the 1900s. Dodge originally began producing cars in Detroit, Michigan. Today, Dodge is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge is known for making big, beefy trucks.
Did you know, that Dodge produces 31,262 a year? The Grand Caravan is the most commonly sold Dodge. In 2018, Dodge sold 151,927 Grand Caravans.

Dodge produced their first car on November 14, 1914. John Francis Dodge and Horace Elgin Dodge are the two founders of Dodge. The Dodge company owns many brands. Some of them are Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo.

Dodge is known for making muscle cars. But, Dodge also makes cars, trucks, and SUVs. Dodges are very common. Dodges are pretty popular in the US.

One cool fact about Dodge is that their logo was called fratzog. For its logo, it had 3 triangles that interlocked together. Another cool fact about Dodge is that they made a car just for women called the “Le Femme”. It was sold with a purse and decorative upholstery.

In 1896, John Francis Dodge and Horace Elgin Opened a Bicycle company. The Bike company was located in Windsor, Canada. The two brothers invented a “dirt-resistant” bike bearing. All bike bearings were designed after this. A few years later, in 1900, the Dodge brothers opened a machine shop where they invented stoves and stove parts.

In 1914, the Dodge brothers made the very first car. It was the Dodge Model 30. The Dodge model 30 had a top speed of 40-50 miles per hour. In its time, it was sold for $16,413. They produced model 30s for about 3 years. In that time, they sold 116,400 cars.

The first Alpha Romeo was made in 1910. But, Dodge didn’t own the company until 2007. The first Jeep was made in 1940 Dodge made their first truck in 1917. However, the first Dodge, Ram was made in 1968. The first Fiat was made in 1899.

The first Hybrid Dodge was the 2009 Dodge Durango Limited HEV. This Hybrid had 385 Horsepower. Dodge does not yet have an all-electric car but, they plan to reals an all-electric Dodge muscle car in 2024.

WHAT common dodge repair services?

Due to the fact that Dodge is one of the most reliable vehicles on the market over the last 30 years, I would say preventative maintenance is the main dodge repair that you will need. This includes:

Oil changes — Oil changes need to take place every 5,000 miles to 7,500 miles. There are 4 different types of oil changes that you can get. One is a full-synthetic oil change. These are the more high-end oil change options. Then there synthetic blend oil changes. Then, High mileage oil and then conventual motor oil.

Alignment — Dodge repair includes an alignment to be done every two to three years. Alignment makes your car’s tires aligned properly so that they hit the road at the correct angle. This makes you different straight and safe.

Transmission service — You need transmission service every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. A transmission service is basically a transmission fluid exchange. We first, drain your old transmission fluid, then we fill your car back up with new, clean transmission fluid.

Timing Belt — Your Dodge needs a new timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Your timing belt controls parts of your engine. Your engine is key in your car operation. So, it is really important to have our timing belt changed when it is supposed to be.

Engine light — When your check engine light comes on, you must have it diagnosed as soon as possible. Your engine is key to your car’s operation.

Tune-up — Tune-up is a replacement of wire, plugs, and any other thing that makes up your Dodge‘s ignition system.

How long do doges last?

How long are Dodges made to last? Well, on average, your Dodge should last you about 300,000 miles. At this point, your Dodge may have reached a repair that would cost more than the car’s actual value
Each Dodge should last you 20 years. But, this will only happen if the proper maintenance is taking place. Oil changes every 5,000 – 7,500 miles, and keep up on your preventive maintenance. All of those are ways to keep your Dodge lasting longer.

“It depends on how well you maintain it… I have an all-original 1977 power wagon, an original 2000 Durango 5.9, and a 2001 Dakota 5.9. all in perfect order and condition. my brother has a 2013 dodge ram 3500 that he pulls heavy equipment with and has done so since new. he maintains him as I do mine and we don’t have any issues.”.
